Effects of steroids for driving

Although it is not yet proven scientifically whether uncontrolled aggressiveness is a side reaction of steroids, these drugs are blamed for some crimes quite frequently.
Michael Barton, a man from Britain, hit a Ford Fiesta, while he was driving his Volkswagen Golf. Paul Gard was driving the Ford Fiesta. Barton had passed Paul Gard. But then he had to pull back in front of him, since another vehicle was driving the other way. Paul Gard flashed him. So, he had to brake suddenly. Barton became raging, stopped his Volkswagen Golf, broke the wing mirror of Gard’s car and hit Gard in the face. Then Gard’s wife called police. While she was calling, Barton left calmly.
Michael Barton, a 21-year-old person that has a son of two years old, takes steroids for bulking effects. So, it has been claimed that these medicines affected his behavior. The defense attorney for this young man affirmed that steroids influenced on temperament of his client, since these drugs enhanced his testosterone levels.
Earlier Barton was convicted for some crimes, including domestic violence. Last year this young man pleaded guilty to an assault, criminal damage and driving carelessly because of his anger following assaults.
The judge Patrick Hooton at Portsmouth Crown Court Deputy Circuit affirmed that he was not sure that steroids caused the improper behavior of Michael Barton. But he noticed that it was completely mad to get furious and hit a man in the face only because he flashed him. The judge confirmed that Barton’s behavior was too immoral and he said: “you ought to go to prison”.
Thus, this man was sentenced to 6-month jail sentence suspended for a year; he was also sentenced to pay 500 dollars in compensation and ?277 for damage of the vehicle.
