The cyclist Lance Armstrong never tested positive for any prohibited substance. But the sportsman lost his seven Tour de France titles because the USADA suspected him of doping.
You may notice that usage of prohibited preparations is considered to be a last sin of professional sportspersons. They are banned, if they are found guilty or only suspected of doping.
For example, the British sprinter Dwain Chambers was banned because he tested positive for tetrahydrogestrinone. This sportsman confirmed that he was not the only Olympic runner who took steroids. According to his statements, numerous runners of the US racing team administered prohibited preparations.
Several individuals are probably bothered by reading articles about war on application of banned preparations in sports. It seems that the fight never ends. However anti-doping agencies put unbelievable efforts in order to eradicate doping from professional sports, a lot of athletes continue taking prohibited products. It is impossible to confront doping. It seems that it is better to legalize application of performance-enhancing drugs. Let sportspersons administer whatever they want!
Sportspeople break more excellent records from one year to another. It will be needed to measure thousandths of a second in order to define who the winner is. It seems that it will be impossible to define with a naked eye the fastest sprinters. That’s why several specialists fear that it will be too difficult to keep sports interesting.
Some experts realize that anti-doping systems fail. Sportspersons who have never tested positive for any forbidden medicine are sentenced to lifetime suspensions. Drug tests can’t induce catching those that take steroids and/or other doping products.
Doping is an inseparable part of sports. Almost each athlete that won Tour de France was involved in a doping case.
Fans have great expectations. Sportspersons have to push their bodies till the limits in order to win. They have to take steroids and/or other doping products in order to keep their reputations and not disappoint fans. The society should be blamed for athletes’ doping. Not only athletes should be blamed for usage of forbidden substances. The society makes such culture where athletes can’t be at the top without intake of certain drugs. That’s why it is necessary to discontinue blaming athletes. It is better to permit doping in sports. Every sport must compose own list of prohibited drugs. Just medicines which are harmful to certain sport itself must be banned. Let take boxing as an example. This sport must prohibit just those products that withdraw fear because removing of fear in this sport is against its spirit.
