May steroid use be blamed in our society?

Sportswriters often write articles about those that possess unnaturally increased muscles and strength. Reading their affirmations, you can see that those that administer anabolic steroids and/or other related medicines are harshly demonized. Such individuals are criticized in our society. They are called “cheaters”. It is stated that those who use steroids for bodybuilding purposes may get addiction to these products. Numerous articles also contain information related to possible side consequences of steroids. However some unwanted effects occur in consumers of steroids, others are not proven scientifically. For example, it is widely reported about violence and murders committed by consumers of steroids. It is affirmed that anabolic steroids may cause uncontrolled behavior that results in crimes. However, so called “roid rage” connected with these medications is considered to be a controversial issue.
A lot of persons affirm that application of anabolic steroids for enhancement of muscle mass and strength, hardening of muscles and fat burning is a moral issue. Let think! Is this affirmation free from hypocrisy? Why are only anabolic steroids blamed? Do just these products make the society unnatural? Let analyze other aspects of our society! What do you think about sexual stimulants? It is affirmed that you should not suffer from sexual disorders, when there are appropriate drugs to get rid of such problems. Furthermore, what do you think about products for anti-aging purposes? Why should you have evident wrinkles, if there are ways to hide your age? Models and actors apply several medications but they are not named “cheaters”. Students administer several preparations for increase of their cognitive abilities. They are not blamed too. Some specialists that have conducted some studies claim that those that apply steroids for increase of physical abilities are more harshly demonized than those that apply certain medications to enhance cognitive capacities. Is it fair?
As you see, our world is full of hypocrisy, ignorance and unfair accusations. May you blame consumers of steroids in this world? May you state that intake of steroids for increase of physical performance is a moral issue? Be real! If you begin to blame steroid users, don’t forget about other conditions of life!
