Since he took steroids, the media decided to blame these preparations for kidney dysfunctions of Flex Wheeler. In fact, Flex Wheeler had a hereditary kidney disease. Undoubtedly, intake of anabolic steroids contributed to the complications. But did the bodybuilder use steroids properly? Did he follow reasonable recommendations linked with doses and length of application? No, he didn’t. Flex Wheeler administered very increased measures of anabolic steroids. Moreover, he took these drugs prolonged period of time. In addition to these factors, the former American bodybuilder used also other drugs that had negative influence on his kidneys. Thus, anabolic steroids should not be blamed for Flex Wheeler’s health problems.

The media also chose to demonize steroids in this situation. It was affirmed that anabolic steroids caused kidney dysfunctions in Luke Wood. But you should be informed that Luke Wood administered not only anabolic steroids. He administered also insulin, pain drugs, DNP and other medicines that influenced on the kidneys negatively. So, it is impossible to assure that anabolic steroids were responsible for his kidney failure and death.
