Barry Bonds expresses his admiration towards Lance Armstrong

Barry Bonds knows what a sportsperson experiences, if he/she is prosecuted by the government and anti-doping agencies. He understands what this person feels. That’s why the former professional baseball player can sympathize and support sportspeople accused of doping. So, Barry Bonds supports Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France winner.
During an interview a reporter asked Barry Bonds about troubles of Lance Armstrong linked with doping accusations. The former baseball player expressed his admiration towards the cyclist. He affirmed that Lance Armstrong was the most brilliant cyclist that has ever been in the sport of cycling.
Of course, Barry Bonds knows what he says. He knows what it means to be a good cyclist. After Barry Bonds retired from baseball, he became a cyclist. He participated in certain competitions successfully. Being a cyclist, Barry Bonds sees that this sport has the same issues like baseball. He understands that cyclists are pursued by federal prosecutors and anti-doping agencies like professional baseball players.
Both Lance Armstrong and Barry Bonds were accused of doping. They were pursued by feds and anti-doping officials.
Federal prosecutors accused Barry Bonds of lying about intake of banned medicines and obstruction of justice. They couldn’t prove that the athlete lied about usage of prohibited preparations. But feds claimed that he was guilty of obstructing justice. The former baseball player decided to appeal the decision of the court.
When it comes to Lance Armstrong, the government dropped the case against him. But the USADA continued to prosecute the cyclist. The USADA affirmed that Lance Armstrong had been administering prohibited preparations throughout his cycling career. The cyclist decided to discontinue fighting against accusations of the anti-doping agency. He forfeited his Tour de France titles and money he had won at these events.
Although Lance Armstrong has been stripped of his titles, Americans continue to respect him. They affirm that he is the most excellent cyclist of all times. Lance Armstrong’s sponsors continue to support his cancer charity. The seven-time Tour de France winner helps people to fight against cancer. Thus, many persons are thankful. They will always remember what Lance Armstrong has done for them.
Barry Bonds’ reputation has been destructed by suspicions related to usage of prohibited medicines. The former baseball player hopes that his achievements during the baseball career are more significant than the accusations. He believes that people will forget about the accusations and he will be claimed to be a baseball star.
