Josh “The Babyfaced Assassin” Barnett, a former American mixed martial artist and wrestler, has obtained a conditional license by the California State Athletic Commission in order to fight. This individual tested positive for the anabolic steroid which is well-known as “Masteron”. It was in June, 2009. His two urine samples manifested that this wrestler had applied this forbidden medicine. It was before his fight against Fedor Emelianenko that had to be on August 1, 2009. As a result of his positive, this athlete was excluded from the event and sentenced to a suspension. So, Josh Barnett lost his license.
This mixed martial artist denied administration of steroids or other related medicines knowingly. It was the second time, when he claimed that he had never used steroids knowingly.
Some years ago Josh Barnett tested positive for steroids as well. After his fight in Las Vegas at UFC 36 in March 2002 he tested positive for metabolites of several banned substances. Thus, he forfeited his UFC Heavyweight title.
This wrestler was suspended for six months by the Nevada Athletic Commission. Soon after he was senetenced to the ban he left the USA for Japan. Josh Barnett fought there for about 5 years. Later he came back home. As a defense in 2002, he condemned a dietary supplement that was offered for sales legally. This athlete confirmed that he had used that supplement in 2002. It was included in the list of the controlled substances later, in 2004. Josh Barnett claimed that it had been legal, when he had used it.
Several individuals were wondered that the CSAC granted Barnett a license in order to fight again. This person has never acknowledged that he had taken steroids.
Barnett claimed that a banned athlete had to talk publicly about evils of steroids in order to be involved in competitions again.
Josh Barnett was capable to convince the commission that he believed that steroids represented evident evil. Barnett asked whether they ever thought that steroids were bad.
